NOW CASTING ALL ROLES!
We’re looking to hire able-bodied, physical NON-UNION of all genders and backgrounds to participate in this year’s chilling edition of The Haunted Road Drive-Through Experience and Slaughter House!
Company Details:

PAY for performances is $15/hr extra stipends to be negotiated one-on-one for specialty talents.

ALL ROLES will perform and/or lip sync to prerecorded tracks unless otherwise specified.

ROLES will be cast in doubles or triplicates for coverage.

The approx. time commitment per night is 7-8 hours including preparation.

THE HAUNTED ROAD is open NOW through NOVEMBER 6th!

Please be specific in regard to any known availability challenges. Once cast, the assumption will be that you are available to perform on all dates where you have not listed conflicts.

Please list any special skills- stilt-walking, gymnastics/tumbling, contortionist, stage combat experience, etc.

Most actors will be expected to cross-train into multiple roles.
Casting Haunted House Actors
The following roles are on THE HAUNTED ROAD or in the Human SLAUGHTERHOUSE:
FARMER DAVE- MALE. 40’s. A kindly, understated fellow. Big personality. The proprietor of the farm with a salesman persona. Must be physically able to perform some simple stunts.
BUTCHER DAVE- MALE. 40’s. Looking to cast a 6’1” actor or taller, with a heavily muscular or larger build. Butcher Dave is a fearsome, grotesque, blood thirsty Pig/Human hybrid who butchers than preys on his victims. Must be able to perform stage combat stunt choreography. Must be okay wearing a mask.
GHOSTLY CHOMP- FEMALE. 20’s. Hails from New Jersey in the 1900’s, and has an unhealthy obsession with chain saws.
BEASTLY CHOMP – FEMALE. 20’s. Has chainsaws for arms, and has fun stalking and terrorizing her prey before mutilating them. Must be able to perform basic stunts and be okay wearing a mask and/or prosthetics and getting soaked throughout the evening’s performances.
GHOSTLY HEFF- MALE. 30’s. A well-dressed fellow of the Ragtime Era and lover of Jazz. He sports a time period-appropriate gas mask, reflecting his murder weapon of choice.
BEASTLY HEFF- MALE. 30’s. Looking to cast a tall (6’1” or taller) physical actor who moves well and can support a lifeless dance partner. Must be okay wearing multiple masks and/or prosthetics and performing basic stunts.
GHOSTLY ANGELICA- FEMALE. 50’s. A well-to-do woman of the 1900’s and the evident leader of the ghosts of Lake Pickett Road. Looking for an actor who can carry herself with affluent posture and poise and make strong physical choices.
BEASTLY ANGELICA- FEMALE. Looking for a sizable, any-gender actor who can support the weight of another piggy-backing actor (ranging from (105-115lbs) for a very short term. Must be okay wearing a mask and/or prosthetics. Looking for string physical energy and choices.
BIFF- MALE. 20’s-30’s. A portly, gluttonous PIG. Looking for an actor who can lean into the animalistic nature of the role, and is okay with wearing a and/or prosthetics and being in close proximity to the audience.
GINA AND GIRDY- FEMALES. 20’s-30’s. Twin TURKEYS with an appetite for human meat. Looking for actors who can lean into the animalistic nature of the roles, and are okay with wearing masks and/or prosthetics and being in close proximity to the audience.
MAD MADDY- FEMALE. 20’s – 30’s. A COW in a straight-jacket. Looking for an actor who can play MANIACAL and make surprising physical choices. Must be okay with wearing a mask and/or prosthetics and being in close proximity to the audience.
THEODORE- MALE. 20’s. A GOAT BOY. Looking for a small-framed actor who can lean into the animalistic nature of the role. Strong physical choices. Must be okay with wearing a mask and/or prosthetics.
THEODORE 2- MALE. 20’s. A GOAT BOY. Looking for a tall, athletic actor / STILT WALKER. Must be okay with wearing a mask and/or prosthetics.
ANGUS- MALE. 20’s-30’s. A giant muscular BUFFALO. Looking for a 6’2” or taller actor who can lean into the animalistic nature of the role and make very big, strong physical choices. Must be okay with wearing a mask and/or prosthetics.
LILLY- FEMALE. 20’s-30’s. Looking to cast a strong physical actor / CONTORTIONIST. Must be okay with being lifted and carried by another actor.
DYLAN- MALE. 20’s-30’s. Looking to cast a strong, physical actor, 5’6” - 5’10”, with athletic build. Must be able to perform stage combat stunt choreography and make strong physical choices.
BLOOD ORANGE BESSIE- FEMALE. 50’s-70’s. An elderly woman of the 1900’s, in corset and bustle. Refined and spooky in nature. Must be okay with wearing a veil and/or prosthetics.
GHOST TOUR GUIDES -All genders/ages. Appearing as stable-hands from the1800s, who carry old-fashioned lanterns and talk directly with the audience. Must be okay wearing make-up with heavy powder.
SURGEON- MALE. 40’s. A doctor of the 1800’s with an affinity for bone saws and decapitation. Looking for an actor who makes strong physical choices.
COTTON HOOK KILLER- MALE. 20’s-30’s. A farmer of the 1800’s who hides his face in a burlap sack and brandishes a “cotton hook”, true to his moniker. Looking to cast a strong, tall, physical actor.
TRAIN CONDUCTOR- MALE.
VICTORIAN WOMAN- FEMALE.
VICTIMS / FARMHANDS – ALL GENDERS/AGES welcome to submit. Looking to cast 10+ characters. Must be athletic and okay with getting wet. Special consideration will be given to those with backgrounds in stage combat or pantomime performance.
